Robyn Rihanna Fenty also referred to as Rihanna is an Barbadian artist and songwriter. She has brought us hit songs such as Pon de Replay SOS Umbrella and Take a Bow. As a young, successful singer-songwriter she is already one of the top selling artists. Her parents are from Barbados She began singing at a young age. Unhappy with her chaotic family life and conflicting with her parents she immersed herself in music, and soon realized she wanted to become a professional musician. In high school she formed a band and auditioned for Evan Rodgers. Evan Rodgers was blown away at her abilities. He requested that she be relocated to New York and pursue a performing career that was full-time. Rihanna happily accepted. Rihanna released her debut album, and was an overnight sensation. Young people were captivated by her songs with a catchy sound which had them on their feet, and this made her a star in the world of film. Beautiful young and extremely talented her name is today considered an teen idol as well as a model. Rihanna puts her fame into good use by being actively engaged in a variety of charity causes.
