Awkwafina

Awkwafina was an American actress and musician. She began by releasing humorous, cleverly written lyrics in rap that dealt with issues like racial identification as well as sexual orientation. She then expanded her fan base to Hollywood. Nora Lum was born to Chinese-Korean immigrants who resided in Forest Hills Queens. Her first encounter with music was from the trumpet. She also received classical and jazz training later delving into hip-hop as a teenager. In her studies, she majored in journalism, and women's studies, and was studying Mandarin in Beijing for a time. Following graduation, she decided to focus on music. Her 2012 track My Vag a response to Mickey Avalon's My Dick found viral success on the Internet before settling on her debut LP Yellow Ranger in 2014. On the album, there also were viral songs like Queef (body-positive) and NYC Bitche$1. The latter track was linked to Awkwafina's NYC Travel Guide for 2015, which was a travel guide. Her resume contained both an musicians and an author. She was now looking for a new career path in acting. Alongside early TV shows, such Girl Code and Tawk - she was in films Neighbors 2 Storks & Bad Rap. In 2018 she landed breakthrough roles in a handful of high-profile films like Dude Ocean's 8 and Crazy Rich Asians. The EP was released in June.
