Kristen Anne Bell, born 1980 in the US of America is an actress and a singer. Bell is an Michigan native born and fostered by her parents, Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) as well as Tom Bell (a TV news director). She has Polish (mother's) as well as German (father's), English, Irish and Scottish ancestry. Kristen realized her potential within the industry of entertainment in her early years. When she was in 1992, the actress went to her first audition and won a role in Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell 13, who was 13 when her mother signed to become an agent was also cast in TV and newspaper advertisements. In addition, Bell started taking acting lessons privately. Bell was credited as a character in the film Polish Wedding (1998) in 1998. Bell took part in the Drama and Music Club at Shrine Catholic High School. The Wizard of Oz was performed by her high school and she took home the role of Dorothy. After graduation Bell moved to New York City to attend the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts, where she studied musical theater. Bell, who graduated in 2001, resigned her college studies in order to take on in the role of Becky as Becky in Tom Sawyer. Her first film credit with Pootie Tang during 2001. Her scene, however cut, and Bell's only role is the credits at the end. Bell appeared together with Angela Bettis and Liam Neeson in 2002's Broadway revival of The Crucible.
