Cynthia Ann Crawford was born 20th February 1966. She is an American actress, model and television host. She was a supermodel and an iconic figure on magazines covers as well as runways and fashion advertisements in the 1990s and the 1980s. Later, she ventured into acting and also started a business. Crawford received a phone call during her sophomore year from a local clothing shop asking her to model. However, it was viewed as a joke by two of her classmates. However, the following year, another retailer employed a group of high school girls and, in particular Crawford and her sister, to do work for them (including an event for fashion). Roger Legel, a local photographer approached Crawford to take her picture. He was responsible for the photo shoot of another college student for DeKalb Nite Weekly. Crawford became the first photo shoot. [9] The photo as well as the positive comments she received were enough to convince her to take up modeling. In the beginning, she was with an agency of a smaller size, but was acquired by Elite Model Management shortly after she signed. In 1983, she entered Elite's Look of the Year contest aged 17 and reached the national finals.
